May 4th, 2020
On March 13th, 2020, the spring season for VBR Star was interrupted by Covid-19. As a result, VBR Star had to suspend operations and follow the guidelines of the Governor to "Stay In Place".
After many meetings (virtual), the Club Champions League, along with the staff of VBR Star, have decided to put forth efforts to salvage as much of the Spring season as possible, during the summer months. Meaning, that when the "Stay In Place" order is lifted, VBR Star will reopen programming from the ages U5-U15. These programs will be modified, but will consist of training and games when possible. VBR Star has created a new online learning program, in order to help supplement (not replace) the Spring season that has been displaced.
When we are able to get back out on the field, VBR Star will take into consideration the needs to continue social distancing, while providing the service that was initially promised from tryouts that were in May of 2019.
Credits and Refunds. At this time, VBR Star will not be issuing credits or refunds, as we plan to reopen programming during June and July. Being a small "Non-Profit" Organization, our funds are used to operate our programming along with our assets (employees, facilities, website, etc...), which have required funds during these times.
VBR Star is aware, that not returning to the fields during the summer months is still an option, even though we remain optimistic that we will. If this is the case, pro-rated credits will be made to the U11-U15 families who have renewed their membership for the Fall 2020-2021 season. Families will have the opportunity to donate their credits to the club, as a tax-deductible gift.
Remaining Team Fees will be refunded by your team manager if the Spring season does not happen.
Youth Academy, U5-U10, will follow the same procedures.
Families that decide not to return to the club for the upcoming season, will have to submit a request to the VBR Star Board of Directors, asking for a refund. Your letter can be sent via email to Danny Beamer (email@example.com)
We understand these times are difficult, and look different for every family. As we move forward, and look to get back to a sense of normalcy, we hope to work closely with our club membership to provide a safe and inviting environment. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we move forward in this new season.
